So far this year I have read 4 books, and my ideal goal is 72. Imagine.
I am horrendously bad at actually reading, because I always choose to watch TV instead. So I'm hoping that if at least write regular blogposts, I'll be more motivated, and kinda held accountable, to read.
I've read two books so far in May. Now both of those only had about 100ish pages left, so I wouldn't say I've read a lot this month, but I am reading, and we gotta take all the wins we can get.
Also so weird, because I feel like I'm being reintroduced to the booktube community (i have missed so much tea), and I want to be apart of it, and I want to start running my channel again, but I want to change the style of content I was making, and it will just take a lot longer than it use to, to actually make the video. And for now I just want to make sure that I'm reading. Part of which does come from the fact that I want to stop looking at my laptop screen so much, as well as give my ears a break, because I literally always have to be listening to something, but I don't have to be listening to something to read.
So. . . What Am I Reading?
Well, I am trying to make an attempt at participating in readathons, so this month I am participating in Tome Topple (https://twitter.com/Tome_Topple) and the Just Read Readathon (https://twitter.com/justreadathon_). But the books I'm planning on reading in the next week are:
City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
Life and Death by Stephenie Meyer
and
Artemis by Andy Weir
Tome Topple ends on Friday, so I'm hoping to knock off City of Heavenly Fire by then, but it is a chonky book and I've got a lot of uni work to do. Also this week I'm planning to leave the house and hunt down a copy of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, I would like to read it over the weekend during the Just Read Readathon, but I'm not allowed to start it until I read two books (this year I'm trying to stick to my read two start one rule to eliminate the amount of books I have sitting around half read).
I'm trying to target total daily pages of 100, so we'll see how that goes, since it is my birthday on Thursday, but I do have 55% of my Business Stats work due this week, and I am planning on spending all of Wednesday and Friday completeing the assessments.
My plans for tonight are to make some progress on City of Heavenly Fire, clean my room (cause it's getting nasty, and it's my personal new year this week), and do some uni work.
I feel like I should be vlogging so I might do that as well.
Until next time, x.
