Olympic Games Readathon Update #2 | June 24th 2020

Yall, I broke my glasses, but before I did that I got 124 pages into Mockingjay.

Not that my vision was necessary for that as I was listening to the audiobook, but I might not read as much physically due to the lack of actually being able to see. And I didn't read at all yesterday , but according to the challenge I set on goodreads, I'm still on track to read eight books this month. Imma still spend time reading tonight though.

Hades Challenges
  1. A book featuring the undead
  2. A reread
  3. A book with a dark cover
  4. Choose a book randomly
and to steal a Hermes one
  5. A book with a snake on the cover
    (and the bonus challenges)
  6. A book with a character I wouldn't get along with
  7. A book featuring magical creaures

Olympic Games Readathon Update #1 | June 21st 2020

Aight, so it's been two weeks. Remember when I said I was gonna update daily.

To be fair, I literally didn't make any progess till 48 hours ago, yes thats right, I finally finished The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes two days ago, and for some reason I think I can finish this readathon in the last 10 days. Maybe it's cause I actually feel like reading, or maybe it's cause I don't know what show I want to watch, but I finished a second book yesterday. And yes, it was The Hunger Games, I literally listened to it on audio so it only took 5.5 hours of actual reading, and I'm about to do that for Catching Fire right now (I swear at some point I'll revise for the test tomorrow), watch me read three books this weekend (btw mine started Thursday at lunch time this month, gotta love vu block model).

Also for the choose-a-book-at-random prompt, I pulled Fangirl from my TBR jar, so I guess I'll finally finish that after more than six years. Anyway, here's the real update.

Hades Challenges
  1. A book featuring the undead
  2. A reread
  3. A book with a dark cover
  4. Choose a book randomly

Olympic Games Readathon TBR + Introduction... I Guess | June 6th 2020

Aight people, I am a fake ass reader.

Like I need to be out here reading some books not binge watching Chicago Fire for the third time, so I'm going to start doing daily readathon updates, because the one time I did that in 2015 I read a lot, and also I don't want to do my marketing work.

This month I'm doing the Olympic Games Readathon (https://twitter.com/OlympicGaames),  I was thinking about doing the Demeter challenges, but then I decided nup, so I'm doing the Hades ones. Who's suprised, not me.

Hades Challenges
  1. A book featuring the undead
  2. A reread
  3. A book with a dark cover
  4. Choose a book randomly
and to steal a Hermes one
  5. A book with a snake on the cover
    (and the bonus challenges)
  6. A book with a character I wouldn't get along with
  7. A book featuring magical creaures
Yeah uhh, the challenges have actual names, but I don't remember what they are, because I never wrote them down. And I chose Hades in the end because these challenges already matched stuff I was planning on reading anyway, like we aren't here for a hard time.

I've also decided not to do a pre-determined TBR, because I simply won't read them, I'm just gonna go with the flow, ya know. I'm going to try and only do one challenge at a time, because otherwise I probably won't finish one book, and I'm out here trying to maybe finish seven, which would be lit. The last time I read that many books in a month was December... 2016; which was three and a half years ago, because you know, I can't read. I'm literally out here being Jared, I'm nineteen and I can't read.

And for some reason I decided to start with the Hermes challenge, so I'm reading a book with a snake on the cover, and yes its The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins. I'm 126(?)pages into the book right now, and I started it in May, like I'm already behind schedule if actually want to finish seven books.

So my goals for tonight are to fold the washing and read for as long as possible, so imma disconnect from the internet even though I kinda vibe with watching a movie, which imma blame Caleb for, yeah I gotta start establishing reading nights, so I read.
